In the fall of 2012, CSU Stanislaus was invited to join a consortium of CSU faculty who are part of Google’s Digital Ambassador Program. Ambassadors from the program are charged with educating CSU Education faculty, pre-service teacher candidates, current teachers, and school leaders on the current trends in classroom technology that support student learning.
In an effort to support the Digital Ambassador’s program goals, Dr. Soodjinda was chosen as Digital Ambassador for CSU Stanislaus and he is currently sponsoring a project called the Digitally Enhanced Classroom Project (DECP) that invited pre-service teacher candidates to foster and develop an innovative lesson or unit that aligns to the common core standards and integrates an innovative usage of technology. In addition to this project, Dr. Soodjinda has also participated as the faculty lead for the CSU Stanislaus Quality of Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) project and has been an invited speaker for a number of policy panels and national conferences. He has also co-authored an article titled, "CSU Digital Ambassadors: An Empowering and Impactful Faculty Learning Community," which has been published in the Journal of Digital Learning in Teacher Education.
