Quality Online Learning and teaching (qOLT)
From 2013 onward, I have served as the faculty lead for the Quality Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) program at CSU Stanislaus. As faculty lead, I support faculty from all departments and specifically targeted those who teach discipline related undergraduate courses that students take if they plan to become a primary or secondary teacher. Between 2013 and fall 2015 fifteen faculty members have participated in the QOLT program and have developed or revised an online course. Unfortunately, participation among College of Education faculty has been limited, which has prompted proactive efforts to recruit teacher education faculty, and their affiliates, into the program. The newly revised 2015/2016 QOLT and QOLT-M programs now utilizes previous QOLT faculty participants to serve as peer mentors, and the new cohort will include three faculty members from the College of Education.
A copy of this upcoming year's QOLT program flyers can be found below. Each flyer provides information for the two QOLT programs offered this coming academic year, and outlines faculty expectations.
